Each year fellow Queenslanders are injured or killed while using electrical equipment that is either unsafe or not used safely. In the five years from 2004 to 2008 there were 25 electrical fatalities. Safety switches could have prevented 12 of these deaths. In other words, nearly half of the lives lost could have been saved.

To save lives, safety switches have to work first time, every time.

Safety switches are electrical devices designed to protect people from faulty switches, wiring or appliances. A safety switch monitors the flow of electricity though a circuit and automatically shuts off the electricity supply when current is detected leaking from faulty switches, wiring or electrical appliances. A Safety Switch has been designed to be tested and the 'test' button located on the device differentiates it from the other devices in the switchboard. In order to save live, valuable property and liability ensure your property remains electrically safe. Call Safety Watch Australia today, and let us manage your risk and help provide a safe environment.

I have watched lots of experiments carried out with safety switches, and i should admit that it may prevent the major per cent of such accident from happening. Thank you for your general overview.

We've done such a great job with introducing the energy rating system for new houses thus bring down our environmental foot print. Would it be to much to suggest that we just make in mandatory to have safety switches in all houses and subsidise accordingly? seriously what price can you put on lives.

I work at a real estate office that uses your service. Can you please advise me exactly what legislation requires us to have a safety switch tested. Thank you.

I must agree that safety switches must be working at its prime condition for it to actually work and save lives. Since its role is critical to every home and buildings, then there shouldn't be any reason for it not to be working properly.
